THE HISTORY OF THE KARACHI LITERATURE FESTIVAL

The first Karachi Literature Festival was put on by Oxford University Press Pakistan in March 2010, and it was a success. The Children's Literature Festival was launched at the end of 2011 in Karachi after two consecutive literary events there were a success. Due to KLF's success, the 2013 Islamabad Literature Festival and 2014 Teachers' Literature Festival were both established.
The first-ever international Karachi Literature Festival took place in May 2017. The celebration for Pakistan's 70th birthday took place at the Southbank Centre in London as a part of the Alchemy Festival. The Southbank Centre, Bloomsbury Pakistan, Rukhsana Ahmed, and Oxford University Press Pakistan worked together to stage the festival.
