Rawalpindi Ring Road – Our Latest Update On The Project That No One Knows About

There are a lot of rumors, developments, and news about Lahore ring road but What about the Rawalpindi road? We get to listen very rarely to the construction of Ring road Rawalpindi/Islamabad. It is very strange that the government is leading resources for LRR without any attention on it.
Introduction:
The ring road is the most desirable project for both twin cities because it is the only main route and road that is leading the traffic from Islamabad to major housing schemes in Rawalpindi.
People use Expressway for traveling to Islamabad and it leads towards GT Road by having access to societies including PWD, Bahria Town, and Police Foundation, etc.

Ideal Location:
The idea of this project was dated in 1991 due to the custody of PMLN. CM Shahbaz Sharif announced the development of Ring road Rawalpindi. According to proposed report, the National Highway is being linked to Rawat with new Islamabad International Airport. It had a proposed length of 38-km at start.
The wanderers came in 1997 in search of this project but the government had not developed the project due to the lack of availability of funds. The length of this project was increased in 1997 to 54 KMs. While later on, its length had been prolonged to 70 Km. The project is expected to be constructed soon in 2017 and has a cost of PKR 70 Billion.
There are lots of interchanges declared for the Ring road which are as follows:
Chak Bali Road Interchange
Rawat Interchange
Channi Bridge Interchange
Adyala Interchange
Gorakh Pur Interchange
Dhamial Interchange
Motorway Interchange
Chakri Interchange
Fatehjang Interchange
All the main housing schemes like DHA, Bahria Town strongly rely on this project in reducing the flow of traffic. After the construction of the road, the prices of property over there will definitely boom up.
Is A Strange Happening Worth To You?
There are a lot of different rumors about the project with the passage of time. According to those rumors, the road structure was completely ready to acquire the land in March 2017. Nespak had decided to undertake a survey for the grounding of PC-1 and it was expected to convey in May 2017.
The annual budget was announced in June 2017 excluding the Rawalpindi Ring Road. The government does not seem to be interested in this project and it looks very strange.
Nespak was planning to deliver the project report of PC-1 in May. There are rumors that the Nespak may present the plan at the end of the Fiscal year but no development has been observed so far in this regard.
Final Word:
The current market situation is unstable. The groundwork has been completed while there is a pending status in the plan due to the lack of funds. Not only the road travelers will get the benefit but also the residents of neighboring housing societies.
We are unaware of the reasons that why Government has not included this plan in their budget. We can only wish for the constructive measures of this project by the Government before the tenancy ends in 2018.
