High-rise buildings in Karachi- A “City in the clouds”

Bahria town Icon (938 feet) is the one which is the highest building in Pakistan. It stances 62 stores tall with ten floors that are assigned for offices and 40 floors which are for apartments. There is a hope that this will be the Pakistan’s largest terraced restaurant named, the Altitude.

This is just the landfill of the iceberg. More than 100 tower blocks are currently under construction that will enhance the altitude of Karachi which had never seen before.

One of the projects that are under construction is Sky gardens having a height of 53 stories and include twin towers having one of 53 stories and the other of 29 stories. This project was developed and launched by Bibojee Services Private Limited. The developer is very famous who has already delivered various exclusive projects in Karachi and Lahore.

Karachi has become very famous and well-known by making its mark due to the completion of Bahria town Island City Karachi. The project was built an objective of introducing the residential master plan. All the investors are keenly interested in the development stage of the project who is under developing with an objective of world’s tallest building and shopping center.

DHA Karachi will be connected to US$ 20 billion island via 3.5 km six-lane international standard bridge over the Arabian Sea.

Karachi will soon have a designer of 120-meter skyscraper Ocean Heights in 2018. Ocean group will lead and project the display case piece which has real estate tycoons in a turmoil.

After its finishing, it would be the Pakistan’s tallest residential buildings.

There is a huge competition for Pakistan’s cement industry and there is the good news too that it has recorded highest ever capacity utilization of 98.61 % or 3.749 million tons of cement in the November 2016. The domestic consumption usually grew 11.5% per year along with a positive sign of ongoing development of skyscrapers.

Burj Khalifa is the world’s highest building having 2,723 feet height. In the middle east, two mega-towers are currently under construction named Twin tower at Dubai Creek Harbor which will be built to astounding 3,045 feet and it will gain a title of world’s largest building after its completion. If they are keenly interested to hold that title, they will have to start the construction of building immediately as US$ 1.2 billion Jeddah tower in Saudi Arabia is upcoming and will be enormous. There is an expectation that it will reach 3,280 feet including 200 room Four Seasons Hotel, 360 residential apartments, 121 serviced apartments.
